Finance for Non-Finance Managers UAE that turns financial statements into decisions your managers can defend. Participants work hands on with your own budgets, management reports and pricing, so the next review meeting with finance feels like a conversation, not a test.
We teach with the monthly pack your managers already receive. When they see their own cost centre in the exercise, the concepts stick.
Nobody learns double entry. Managers learn how hiring, discounts, stock and payment terms change profit and cash, and how to explain it to their director.
Corporate tax, VAT and the coming move to e-invoicing are explained at the level a manager needs, so budgets and contracts reflect them.
Facilitators are senior finance leaders who have sat in budget reviews with operations, sales and HR heads, and know where the friction comes from.
Each participant who attends in full receives a TrainingInUAE.com certificate for their development plan and learning record.
We agree one indicator with you first, such as budget variance explained on time, and report on it at 90 days.
Managers do not need another lecture on debits and credits. They need to sit with a real profit and loss statement, ask why a margin moved and try making a decision with the numbers in front of them. Practice on familiar figures builds confidence quickly.
Finance shares a sanitised management pack and budget template, so exercises use the format managers see each month.
Each concept, such as gross margin or working capital, is introduced with a simple example from your sector.
Pairs work through your income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, noting what changed and why.
Groups test a real choice, like a new hire or a price discount, and see the effect on profit and cash.
Each manager explains a variance or a business case to a mock finance panel and receives direct feedback.
We review the agreed measure with HR and finance and suggest a follow up session if needed.
Roughly four fifths of the time is spent working with numbers. The trainer explains a concept in a few minutes, then pairs analyse your reports, model a decision and present their reasoning.
Eight modules build from reading the statements to making and defending financial decisions. The outline suits managers in operations, sales, HR, projects and technical roles who own a budget or influence costs.
Revenue, costs, profit and cash explained through the way your own organisation earns and spends, with the core terms finance uses every day.
🛠 Participants practise: Map how money flows in and out of your own department
Revenue lines, cost of sales, gross margin, overheads and operating profit, and how to spot what moved between two months.
🛠 Participants practise: Explain three movements in your latest management accounts
Assets, liabilities and equity in plain terms, why stock and receivables tie up money, and what the balance sheet says about risk.
🛠 Participants practise: Identify where your team’s activity shows up on the balance sheet
Why profitable companies still run short of cash, payment terms, collections, inventory levels and the cash conversion cycle.
🛠 Participants practise: Calculate the cash effect of changing one customer’s payment terms
Building a departmental budget, separating fixed and variable costs, rolling forecasts and explaining variances before you are asked.
🛠 Participants practise: Draft next quarter’s budget for your cost centre and defend it
Contribution, break even, the real cost of a discount and how to price a project or product without eroding margin.
🛠 Participants practise: Work out the break even point for a real offer or project
Payback, return on investment and a simple view of discounting, so managers can build and challenge proposals for new spend.
🛠 Participants practise: Build a one page business case for a request you plan to make
What UAE corporate tax and VAT mean for everyday decisions, approval limits, valid invoices and why finance asks for certain documents.
🛠 Participants practise: Review a supplier invoice and purchase request against your controls
A hospital, a contractor and a software company read the same statements in different ways. We adapt the examples, ratios and decisions to how your organisation earns money and where its costs sit.
A short call with your finance lead to understand reporting formats, budget cycles and the questions managers struggle with.
Sanitised reports, budget templates and real decisions from your business become the exercises, approved by finance before use.
New managers get the basics, senior heads get business cases and strategy, and sessions run in English, Arabic or both.
Strategy, investment decisions and holding confident conversations with the board and the CFO.
Budgets, variances, cost control and building a business case for new spend.
Reading reports, understanding cost centres and knowing what finance expects from them.
Engineers, clinicians and IT leads who need to link their decisions to cost and return.
Each manager who completes the programme receives a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com listing the modules covered. It is a corporate training record for development plans and appraisals, not an accounting qualification.

UAE managers now make decisions in a more detailed tax environment than a few years ago. VAT has applied at a standard rate of 5% since 2018, and federal corporate tax has applied to financial years starting on or after 1 June 2023, with taxable income calculated from the accounting profit in the financial statements. A manager who books costs carelessly or signs a contract with unclear terms can now affect the tax result as well as the budget.
E-invoicing is also being phased in from 2027, which will tighten how invoices are raised and approved. Finance for Non-Finance Managers UAE gives managers enough understanding to work well with finance, explain their numbers and spot problems early. We deliver on site in all seven emirates and live online, in English, Arabic or both.
Reading the income statement and budget basics for managers who need a quick, practical start.
The core outline on your own reports, ending with each manager presenting a variance or case.
Full coverage including cash flow, pricing and business cases with more time to practise.
Short sessions over several weeks, linked to your real budget cycle and review meetings.
Interactive virtual delivery for managers across different emirates or GCC offices.
No. The programme starts from zero and avoids accounting jargon. Managers learn to read and use financial information, not to prepare it. If your group includes people with some finance exposure, we add stretch exercises on business cases and pricing so nobody feels held back.
Yes, and it makes the training far more useful. We ask finance for a sanitised management pack and budget template. Figures can be scaled or disguised if needed. A confidentiality agreement is signed first, and material can stay on your premises if you prefer.
Most organisations choose one full day. A half day works as an introduction, and two days gives time for cash flow, pricing and business cases. Some clients spread the content over a series of shorter sessions aligned with their budget season so managers apply it straight away.
Yes, at a manager’s level. One module explains what corporate tax and VAT mean for everyday decisions such as spending, contracts and invoices. It does not turn managers into tax specialists or give tax advice, but it helps them understand why finance asks for certain controls.
Yes. We deliver in English, Arabic or bilingually. Financial terms are given in both languages where helpful, and exercises can be prepared in either. This works well for mixed groups where some managers prefer to discuss reasoning in Arabic.
For hands on workshops we work with up to 20 people per trainer, so every manager gets time with the numbers and feedback on their presentation. Larger groups receive extra trainers or repeat sessions. An introductory talk for a wider leadership audience can be any size.
Yes. Everyone who completes the programme receives a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com. It records the modules covered for internal learning files. It is corporate training, not a professional accounting qualification, and we make that clear from the start.
The number of days, group size, how much of your own financial material we adapt, language, and whether delivery is on site outside Dubai or online. Separate sessions for senior leaders and new managers also add design time. A short call is enough for a proposal within 24 to 48 hours.
