Why us

Why compliance officers book this programme

Beyond the annual e-learning

Click through modules tick a box but rarely change behaviour. Our sessions put people in front of suspicious files and ask them to decide what to do next.

Built for your sector

A gold dealer, a property broker and a payments firm see different red flags. Exercises are written around the customers and products your teams handle.

Current law, plainly explained

Content follows the 2025 decree-law and its executive regulation, with supervisor guidance checked before every delivery and no outdated references to repealed rules.

Practitioners at the front

Trainers are senior compliance and financial crime professionals who have run onboarding teams, handled investigations and dealt with supervisor inspections in the Gulf.

Evidence for your file

Every participant receives a certificate of completion, and you get an attendance and content record that supports your own training log for inspections.

Measured after 90 days

We agree a measure such as file quality scores or alert handling time before the session, then review it with your MLRO three months later.

Practical, not theory

How AML Training UAE works when cases come first

Most money laundering slips through because an ordinary employee did not notice or did not know what to do. Reading definitions does not fix that. Practising on files that look like your own customers does, because people learn to spot the detail that should stop them.

01

Review your risk profile

We read your business risk assessment and talk to the compliance officer about the products, customers and channels that worry them most.

02

Write sector cases

We build anonymised customer files and transaction patterns that mirror your onboarding forms and the alerts your systems generate.

03

Brief the obligation

The trainer explains one duty at a time, for example enhanced due diligence for a politically exposed person, in clear language.

04

Work the file

Groups examine documents, check ownership, look for red flags and decide whether to proceed, ask for more or escalate.

05

Draft the report

Participants write an internal escalation and a practice suspicious transaction narrative, then compare it with a model answer.

06

Close the loop

We share common errors with the MLRO and return at 90 days to review the agreed measure and refresh weak areas.

Cases first, slides second

Around 80% of each session is case work. A short explanation of an obligation is followed by groups reviewing a file, deciding on risk and escalation, and defending their call to the trainer.

Course outline

What our AML Training UAE covers

Eight modules move from the legal framework to daily practice and reporting. Front line staff take the core modules, while compliance teams and senior management add depth on governance, sanctions and investigations.

Module 1. The UAE AML framework

Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025, in force since October 2025, its executive regulation, and how money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing are defined.

🛠 Participants practise: Match each role in your business to the duties that apply to it

Module 2. Supervisors and who is covered

Financial institutions, virtual asset providers and DNFBPs such as brokers, dealers in precious metals and auditors, and which authority supervises each one.

🛠 Participants practise: Confirm your supervisor and list its most recent guidance for your sector

Module 3. Risk based approach

Building and using a business risk assessment, rating customers, products, channels and geographies, and keeping the assessment alive rather than filed away.

🛠 Participants practise: Rate three sample customers using your own risk methodology

Module 4. Customer due diligence

Identification, verification, beneficial ownership, simplified and enhanced measures, politically exposed persons and ongoing monitoring of existing relationships.

🛠 Participants practise: Complete a beneficial ownership check on a layered company structure

Module 5. Red flags and typologies

Trade based laundering, cash intensive patterns, real estate and gold schemes, virtual assets and tax evasion, which is now a predicate offence.

🛠 Participants practise: Spot the warning signs in a set of transactions from your sector

Module 6. Reporting through goAML

When suspicion arises, internal escalation, filing suspicious transaction and activity reports with the Financial Intelligence Unit, and the rules against tipping off.

🛠 Participants practise: Write a clear suspicious transaction narrative from a case file

Module 7. Sanctions and targeted financial sanctions

Screening customers and payments against UAE and UN lists, handling potential matches, freezing obligations and the role of the Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation.

🛠 Participants practise: Resolve a batch of screening hits and document each decision

Module 8. Governance, records and inspections

Senior management responsibility, the compliance officer role, record keeping, independent audit and preparing staff and files for a supervisor visit.

🛠 Participants practise: Run a mock inspection interview on your own procedures

Customised to your sector

Customised to your business and supervisor

AML duties are shared across the economy, but the risks are not. We shape every programme around your supervisor, your products and the findings from your last audit or inspection.

Scoping with your MLRO

A short call to review your risk assessment, recent audit points and the teams that need the most attention.

Cases from your world

We write scenarios on your onboarding documents and transaction types, anonymised and approved by your compliance team before use.

Depth by role and language

Front line staff get recognition and escalation, analysts get investigation depth, and sessions run in English, Arabic or both.

Why AML training matters in the UAE right now

The UAE replaced its 2018 AML law with Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025, which took effect in October 2025 and adds proliferation financing to the framework. The new law names tax evasion as a predicate offence, covers virtual assets more directly and raises penalties. A new executive regulation, Cabinet Resolution No. 134 of 2025, followed, and supervisors are updating their guidance in turn.

Supervision is shared. The Central Bank of the UAE oversees banks and many financial firms, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism supervises most DNFBPs, and the DFSA and ADGM regulate their own financial centres. Suspicious transaction reports go to the Financial Intelligence Unit through goAML. AML Training UAE from us is delivered on site in all seven emirates and online, as practical training rather than legal advice.

FAQ

AML Training UAE: FAQs

Yes. The programme is built on Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025 and its executive regulation, which replaced the 2018 law and the 2019 regulation. We check supervisor guidance before each delivery, and where guidance is still being issued, the trainer tells participants what is settled and what is still being clarified.

Businesses covered by the law, including DNFBPs such as real estate brokers, dealers in precious metals and stones, corporate service providers and auditors, are expected to train staff on their AML duties. We build sessions around the specific risks of each sector so the training reflects how your customers and transactions actually look.

Yes. One module covers when suspicion arises, internal escalation and how suspicious transaction and activity reports are submitted to the Financial Intelligence Unit through goAML. Participants practise writing a clear report narrative, which is where many real reports fall short. We do not file reports on your behalf.

No. This is in-house corporate training with a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com. It focuses on UAE law and your own procedures. Staff who want an international professional certification would need to study and sit that exam separately, though our training gives a practical base.

Front line staff usually need a half day of focused case work. Compliance teams and analysts benefit from a full practitioner day, and senior management often prefers a shorter briefing on accountability. Many clients combine these into one programme and add an annual refresher.

Yes. Sessions run in English, Arabic or bilingually. This is useful for branch and front line teams who deal with customers in Arabic but use English terms in the system. Case files and handouts can be prepared in both languages.

No. We teach how the law and supervisor expectations work in practice and help staff apply your own policies. Questions about your specific legal obligations or a live case should go to your compliance officer or legal adviser, and the trainer will flag those points during the session.

Group size, the number of sessions across shifts or branches, how many custom case files we write, whether board and front line sessions are separate, language and on site delivery outside Dubai. A short scoping call is enough for us to send a proposal within 24 to 48 hours.
