Procurement Training UAE that turns buyers into commercial partners for the business. Your team works hands on with its own spend data, live requests for quotation and real supplier bids, with trainers who once ran buying functions themselves.
Participants score anonymised quotations your team actually received. Arguing over a real price breakdown teaches far more than a textbook example ever will.
We separate genuine cost reduction from cost avoidance and budget shifting, so the numbers your team reports survive questions from finance.
Trainers have led sourcing teams, chaired tender committees and renegotiated contracts with difficult suppliers. They bring stories from the floor, not from a manual.
This is in-house skills training, not a CIPS course. If staff are studying for a professional qualification, the practice here still supports their day job.
Buyers who finish the course get a TrainingInUAE.com completion certificate naming the modules and exercises they worked through.
Up front we pick one indicator, for example cycle time from request to purchase order, then compare it with the figure a quarter later.
Sourcing is a craft learned by doing. A buyer only gets better at writing a specification or reading a supplier’s cost build when they try it, get it wrong and see why. So the room spends its time on your categories and your paperwork.
Ahead of the workshop you share an anonymised twelve month spend file plus two or three recent tenders that went well or badly.
Our facilitator demonstrates a single tool, for example a weighted scoring matrix, using a short example from a comparable industry.
Small groups apply the technique to your material, for instance rebuilding the evaluation of a tender your team ran last quarter.
Groups defend their choices while colleagues play the requester, the finance reviewer or the losing supplier asking for a debrief.
Templates built during the day, including the scoring sheet, negotiation plan and supplier review form, go back to your shared drive.
At the 90 day point we look at the agreed indicator with the head of procurement and note where the habits have stuck.
About 80% of each session is practical work. The trainer explains a method in a few minutes, then groups apply it to your own requests, bids and supplier files and present what they found.
Eight modules follow the buying cycle from understanding what the business spends to managing suppliers once the purchase order is issued. We shift the weight towards tenders, negotiation or supplier risk depending on where your team struggles most.
How a buying team adds value beyond processing orders, working with budget holders early, and the policies, delegations and approvals that govern spending.
🛠 Participants practise: Map your current request to payment process and mark the delays
Cleaning spend data, grouping it into categories, spotting fragmented suppliers and choosing where effort will pay back using a simple positioning matrix.
🛠 Participants practise: Segment your own spend file and pick three priority categories
Turning a vague request into requirements suppliers can price, separating essential from desirable, and using output based specifications where they make sense.
🛠 Participants practise: Rewrite a real specification your team issued in the past year
Choosing between quotations, open tenders and limited invitations, building a fair timeline, handling clarifications and keeping a clean audit trail throughout.
🛠 Participants practise: Draft a request for proposal pack for one upcoming purchase
Weighted scoring, commercial and technical envelopes, total cost of ownership, abnormally low bids and how to explain an award decision to stakeholders.
🛠 Participants practise: Score anonymised bids your team received and justify the winner
Preparing a negotiation plan, knowing your walk away position, trading concessions on price, payment terms and delivery, and keeping relationships intact.
🛠 Participants practise: Role play a renewal discussion with a trainer acting as supplier
Due diligence before onboarding, single source exposure, scorecards, quarterly reviews and handling a supplier who keeps missing delivery dates.
🛠 Participants practise: Build a scorecard for one key supplier and set review targets
Conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, reporting savings honestly, local supplier considerations such as ICV, and an individual plan every buyer takes back to their desk.
🛠 Participants practise: Write a savings report finance would accept for one category
A hospital group buying consumables and a contractor buying steel and subcontract packages face very different problems. We design the programme around what you buy, the approval rules you follow and the ERP your team uses every day.
We speak with your procurement lead to learn team size, main categories, policy constraints and the pain points behind the request.
We convert anonymised requisitions, tenders and supplier correspondence into exercises, and agree with you what stays inside the room.
Junior buyers get structure and templates, senior staff get strategy and stakeholder work. Buyers at any level can take the course in Arabic, English or both.
Category strategy, policy, team capability and how to present procurement's contribution to the executive committee.
Market analysis, tender design, complex evaluations and multi stage negotiations on high value contracts.
Quotations, purchase orders, supplier communication and the everyday discipline of a clean buying file.
Writing better requests, respecting the process and working with buyers so purchases move faster.
Anyone who finishes the procurement programme is given a completion certificate issued by TrainingInUAE.com. It records the modules and exercises covered for your learning files. It is not a CIPS qualification or any other professional accreditation.
Almost every organisation buys, but some spend profiles make strong sourcing skills especially valuable. These are the groups we see most often in a procurement workshop.
Main contractors and developers buying materials, plant hire and subcontract packages under tight programme dates.
Operators and service companies with long supplier lists, technical evaluations and local content expectations.
Distributors and freight businesses managing carriers, warehousing contracts and imported goods across several markets.
Hospital groups and clinics buying consumables, equipment and maintenance services where quality cannot slip.
Hotel groups and retailers with food and beverage, fit out and facilities spend spread across many sites.
Public entities that need transparent tender files, fair evaluations and buyers confident with formal procedures.
Plus 400+ enterprise clients across 16+ countries.
Your trainer has worked as a buyer and led a procurement function, sitting on both sides of a tender. We match their sector background to what your team buys, from capital projects to services.

Public buying in the UAE has become more structured. Federal Decree-Law No. 11 of 2023 sets the framework for procurement by federal government entities, with an emphasis on transparency, competition, support for SMEs and digital procurement systems. Suppliers to government and large national companies also meet the National In-Country Value programme, run by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, which can favour certified companies in tenders.
Private sector teams feel the pressure too. Imported goods, regional supply chains and fast project timelines leave little room for weak specifications or poorly run tenders. Procurement Training UAE gives buyers a shared method so decisions hold up when finance, auditors or a losing bidder ask questions. Our trainers travel to your site anywhere across the seven emirates, or teach live online, and the programme teaches skills rather than giving legal advice on any specific tender.
Category strategy, policy and savings reporting for heads of procurement and finance partners.
A full day on specifications, tender evaluation and negotiation using your own documents.
The complete eight module outline with a mock tender run from request through to award.
Short sessions over a quarter, each tied to a live purchase your team is working on that month.
Virtual classrooms with breakout work for buyers based in different emirates or GCC countries.
No. It is a practical in-house programme focused on how your team buys, using your own categories and documents. It does not prepare people for a CIPS exam and we do not claim accreditation from CIPS. Staff studying for a professional qualification often find the hands on practice helpful alongside their studies, but the certificate we issue is a certificate of completion only.
Buyers, purchasing officers and category managers gain the most, but heads of procurement and frequent requesters also benefit. When budget holders join part of the programme, they learn why the process exists and how to write a request that a buyer can act on quickly. We often run a short shared session and then split the groups by role.
Yes, at the level of principles and good practice: fair competition, clear evaluation criteria, conflicts of interest and keeping a complete file. Where your entity follows a specific federal or emirate level procurement regulation, we build the exercises around your internal procedures. Interpreting those rules for a particular contract remains a matter for your legal team.
Yes. We ask for anonymised spend data, past tenders and supplier bids before the session. Participants rewrite specifications, rescore bids and plan negotiations on that material. A confidentiality agreement is signed before any file reaches us, and the most sensitive documents never leave your building and are only opened during the session.
A one day workshop suits most buying teams. Leaders often prefer a half day focused on strategy, while teams that want to run a full mock tender usually need two days. A monthly series across a quarter works well when you want the training linked to live purchases.
Each trainer takes up to 20 participants in a hands on workshop, which keeps role plays and bid evaluations manageable. For a larger procurement department extra trainers join or the workshop is repeated for further cohorts, and a leadership briefing can take a bigger audience.
Yes, and bilingual groups are common too. Many UAE buying teams use English for contracts and system screens but prefer to discuss negotiation tactics and supplier issues in Arabic, so the trainer moves between both. Templates can be supplied in either language.
Duration, headcount, the volume of your documents converted into exercises, separate sessions for leaders and buyers, language and on site delivery across several emirates. Share a few details on a short call and you will have our procurement proposal inside 24 to 48 hours.
