Why us

Why teams choose our corporate Excel course

Your reports, rebuilt

We use anonymised copies of the trackers, sales files and monthly reports your people already maintain, so the improvements go straight back into daily use.

Grouped by real ability

A short skills check before the course puts each person in the right group, so beginners are not lost and experienced users are not bored.

Modern Excel, properly taught

XLOOKUP, dynamic arrays, Power Query and structured tables replace the fragile habits many workbooks still depend on.

Trainers who use it daily

Our trainers have built reports for managers and boards. They teach the shortcuts and checks that matter in an office, not exam trivia.

Certificate of completion

Completing the course earns each participant a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com that sets out the Excel skills covered.

Time saved is measured

We time a few routine spreadsheet tasks before the course, agree one measure with you and report the change after 90 days.

Practical, not theory

Excel Training in Dubai that keeps hands on the keyboard

Nobody learns a PivotTable by watching one. People learn Excel by building, breaking and fixing their own files with an experienced trainer nearby. That is why most of each session is spent in workbooks, not on slides.

01

Send a sample file

Before the course, each participant shares a workbook they use often, cleaned of confidential details, so exercises match real work.

02

See one technique

The trainer demonstrates a single method, such as a lookup or a refreshable query, explaining when to use it and when not to.

03

Apply it to your data

Participants repeat the method on their own file straight away, and the trainer unblocks anyone whose formula misbehaves.

04

Check the numbers

Pairs swap workbooks and test each other’s formulas against known totals, a habit that prevents embarrassing errors in reports.

05

Keep a reference sheet

Each person leaves with a personal cheat sheet of the formulas, shortcuts and steps they used during the day.

06

Measure the difference

We compare how long the chosen tasks took before and after, so managers can see what the training changed.

Your workbooks, not textbook files

About 80% of the clock is spent inside Excel itself. After a demonstration of a few minutes, each person tries the technique on their own data while the trainer checks screens and corrects habits.

Course outline

What our Excel Training in Dubai covers

The outline runs from solid foundations to dashboards and automation. We pick and weight modules by level, so a beginner group and an analyst group follow different paths through the same structure.

Module 1. Foundations and clean data structure

Setting up data so it can be analysed: one header row, consistent types, Excel tables, named ranges, absolute and relative references, and the keyboard shortcuts that save real time.

🛠 Participants practise: Convert a messy tracker into a structured Excel table

Module 2. Essential formulas and functions

SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF and IFS, text and date functions, and XLOOKUP in place of VLOOKUP. Participants learn to read a formula before trusting it.

🛠 Participants practise: Replace fragile lookups in your own report with XLOOKUP

Module 3. Dynamic arrays and smarter formulas

FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE and LET for formulas that update themselves, plus error handling that keeps reports clean when data changes.

🛠 Participants practise: Build a self updating list filtered by region or month

Module 4. PivotTables and PivotCharts

Summarising thousands of rows in seconds, grouping dates, adding calculated fields, using slicers and avoiding the common traps that produce wrong totals.

🛠 Participants practise: Summarise a sales or expense extract by period and category

Module 5. Power Query for importing and cleaning

Connecting to CSV exports, folders and other workbooks, then cleaning, merging and reshaping data in steps that refresh with one click each month.

🛠 Participants practise: Combine several monthly exports into one refreshable table

Module 6. Dashboards and clear charts

Choosing the right chart, building a one page dashboard with slicers, and laying it out so a manager understands it in under a minute.

🛠 Participants practise: Design a one page dashboard from your team’s own data

Module 7. Copilot in Excel

Where your licence includes it, using Copilot to suggest formulas, highlight patterns and explain inherited workbooks, with every result checked against the data.

🛠 Participants practise: Ask Copilot to analyse a table, then verify its answer

Module 8. Protection, sharing and automation

Data validation, sheet protection, co-authoring in OneDrive or SharePoint, version history and recording simple macros for repeated formatting steps.

🛠 Participants practise: Capstone: rebuild one report you own and time the saving

Customised to your team

Built around your files and Excel version

An accounts team on Microsoft 365 and a site office on an older desktop version need different content. We check versions, data sources and skill levels before designing the day.

Skills and version check

A short online questionnaire tells us each person's level, Excel version and the reports they handle, so groups and content are set correctly.

Exercises from your workbooks

Anonymised copies of your own files become the practice material, with confidential figures replaced before the session.

Pace and language

Groups are pitched at beginner, intermediate or advanced level and taught in English, Arabic or bilingually.

Across the UAE

Why Excel skills matter for teams in Dubai and the UAE

Dubai’s D33 Agenda aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy within a decade, and much of that growth runs through busy commercial teams in trading, logistics, property and services. In most of those offices Excel is still where numbers are collected, checked and reported, often in workbooks inherited from colleagues who have long since left.

Reporting demands keep rising too. Corporate tax and the national e-invoicing rollout both depend on accurate, well structured data, and weak spreadsheets make every filing slower. Our Excel Training in Dubai fixes those habits at source. We also run the same course on site in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, or live online for teams across the UAE.

FAQ

Excel Training in Dubai: frequently asked questions

We run beginner, intermediate and advanced groups. A short questionnaire before the course places each person at the right level. Beginners focus on clean data, core formulas and charts. Intermediate users move to lookups and PivotTables, and advanced users work on Power Query, dynamic arrays, dashboards and Copilot in Excel.

Practical. Four fifths of the session is spent inside Excel, with participants working on anonymised copies of their own files. The trainer demonstrates briefly, then moves between desks helping people apply each technique, so the skills transfer straight back to daily work.

No. Participants receive a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com that names the level and skills covered. It is corporate training, not a Microsoft certification exam and not a KHDA accredited qualification. HR departments typically file it with appraisal and development records.

Microsoft 365 is ideal because it includes XLOOKUP, dynamic arrays and, with the right licence, Copilot. Older desktop versions still work for most modules, and we adapt the exercises once we know which versions your team uses. Excel for Mac is fine too, with a few menu differences we point out.

No. Copilot in Excel is one module, taught where your organisation has the licence. Without it, we spend that time on extra Power Query and dashboard practice. If you are considering Copilot, the session gives a realistic view of what it does well and where it still needs checking.

Yes. We deliver at your office anywhere in Dubai and across the other emirates, at a venue you choose or live online. Participants usually bring their own laptops so they practise on the setup they use every day. Hands on groups are kept to a maximum of 20 per trainer.

Yes, we teach Excel in Arabic, in English or in a mix of both. We can also cover practical points such as right to left sheets, Arabic text in formulas and reports that mix both languages, which matter for teams producing documents for government entities or local customers.

Most participants change at least one report within the first week, because they practised on it during the course. We measure a few routine tasks before training and check again at 90 days, so you see whether reports are faster and errors are fewer.
