Why us

Why organisations invest in this programme

Practice, not inspiration talks

Motivational speeches fade by Monday. Participants spend most of the time rehearsing the pitch, the negotiation and the hard conversation they actually have coming up.

Grounded in your organisation

We look at how promotion, visibility and sponsorship really work in your company, then build exercises around those routes rather than generic advice.

A cohort that lasts

Women from different departments work together across the programme and often keep meeting afterwards as an informal network of peers.

Senior trainers who have led

Facilitators have run teams, sat in leadership meetings and navigated careers in Gulf organisations. Their advice comes from experience, not a textbook.

Recognised completion

Every participant receives a TrainingInUAE.com certificate of completion, useful for talent files and conversations about next roles.

Results you can see

We agree measures with you at the start, such as internal promotions, stretch assignments or retention in the cohort, and report on them at 90 days.

Practical, not theory

How the Women in Leadership Programme UAE works in the room

Knowing you should speak up in the leadership meeting is easy. Doing it when a senior colleague talks over you is not. Skills like presence, influence and negotiation only grow with rehearsal and honest feedback, so that is where we put the hours.

01

Listen to the organisation

We meet HR and senior sponsors to understand the talent pipeline and where women tend to stall or leave.

02

Hear from participants

A short pre programme survey captures each woman’s goals and the situations she finds hardest at work.

03

Brief input

Each topic opens with a short, practical framework and an example from a real Gulf workplace, then moves straight to practice.

04

Rehearse with feedback

Participants practise in pairs and small groups, receiving specific feedback from peers and the trainer, then try again.

05

Apply between sessions

Each woman takes on one stretch action at work, such as leading a meeting or asking for a project, and reports back.

06

Review with sponsors

A closing session brings in senior sponsors to hear career plans, followed by our 90 day report against the agreed measures.

Rehearse the moments that matter

About four fifths of each session is practice: short presentations filmed on a phone, negotiation rounds with a coached counterpart, and peer feedback on how each woman came across.

Course outline

What the women's leadership course covers

Eight modules take participants from clarifying their own leadership direction to being ready for the next role. Run the full journey as a cohort programme or select modules for a shorter intensive.

Module 1. Your leadership direction

Clarifying strengths, values and the kind of leader you want to be, then setting a concrete two year career goal that you can share with your manager.

🛠 Participants practise: Write and test a one minute statement of your leadership goals

Module 2. Presence and confident communication

Voice, posture, pace and structure in meetings and presentations, plus how to hold your ground when interrupted or challenged by senior colleagues.

🛠 Participants practise: Present a real update and review a phone recording with peers

Module 3. Negotiating for yourself and your team

Preparing for pay, promotion and resource conversations, anchoring with evidence and handling the first no without retreating.

🛠 Participants practise: Negotiate a promotion or budget request with a coached counterpart

Module 4. Influence and visibility

Mapping the stakeholders who decide your projects and promotions, making your results visible without feeling boastful, and influencing without formal authority.

🛠 Participants practise: Build a stakeholder map and influence plan for a live project

Module 5. Strategic thinking and decisions

Moving from operational detail to the bigger picture, framing recommendations for senior leaders and making decisions with incomplete information.

🛠 Participants practise: Turn a current problem into a one page recommendation for leadership

Module 6. Sponsors, mentors and networks

The difference between a mentor and a sponsor, how to find both inside and outside the organisation, and how to ask for support clearly.

🛠 Participants practise: Plan and rehearse a first conversation with a potential sponsor

Module 7. Leading teams with energy to spare

Delegating properly, setting boundaries, managing workload across work and family demands, and leading teams without carrying everything yourself.

🛠 Participants practise: Redesign your week by delegating three real tasks from your list

Module 8. Ready for the next role

Preparing for senior and board level conversations, understanding governance basics, and a capstone where each woman presents her career plan to sponsors.

🛠 Participants practise: Present your personal development plan to a panel of sponsors

Customised to your organisation

Customised to your talent strategy

A bank building its pipeline of women branch managers needs something different from a government entity preparing women for director roles. We shape the programme around your goals, your culture and the women in the cohort.

Talent pipeline review

We look at where women are well represented, where they drop off and what your leaders say gets in the way, then set the programme's focus.

Cases from your workplace

Anonymised real situations, such as a tough promotion panel or a difficult stakeholder, become the scenarios participants rehearse.

Level, format and language

We adjust content for emerging or senior women, choose a cohort or intensive format, and deliver in English, Arabic or both.

Across the UAE

Why women's leadership matters in the UAE

The UAE has made gender balance in leadership a stated national priority. The UAE Gender Balance Council was established in 2015 to support women’s role in decision making positions, and a presidential directive set women’s representation in the Federal National Council at 50 per cent. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, women in the private sector are entitled to the same wage as men for the same work or work of equal value.

Boards are changing too. Since 2021 the Securities and Commodities Authority has required listed public joint stock companies to have at least one woman on the board, and Ministerial Resolution No. 137 of 2024 extended a similar rule to private joint stock companies from 2025. That raises demand for women ready to lead at senior level. We run the Women in Leadership Programme UAE on site in all seven emirates and live online for regional cohorts.

FAQ

Women in Leadership Programme UAE: FAQs

It suits women who are already performing well and want to move into larger roles: high potential specialists, team leads, managers and senior leaders. We usually group participants by career stage so the conversations are relevant, and each Women in Leadership Programme UAE cohort stays focused on the next step. Organisations often also involve line managers or sponsors in one or two sessions so support continues after the programme.

The core sessions are designed for women, because many participants speak more openly in that setting. We do recommend a separate session for sponsors and line managers of any gender, focused on how to sponsor women well, give fair feedback and open doors to stretch assignments. Some clients also invite sponsors to the final presentations.

It can be a half day masterclass, a two day intensive or a cohort programme of six to eight sessions over three to six months. The cohort format tends to produce the strongest results because participants try new behaviours at work between sessions and return with real experiences to work on.

Yes. We deliver in English, Arabic or bilingually, and materials can be prepared in both languages. For mixed groups of Emirati and expatriate participants, the trainer moves between languages where it helps, so everyone can rehearse in the language they will use in the real conversation.

It is a practical corporate leadership programme rather than an accredited qualification. Every participant who completes it receives a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com, which works well for talent records and development plans. We are always clear that it is not a government or university award.

We work with up to 20 participants per trainer so everyone gets enough rehearsal time and individual feedback. Many clients prefer cohorts of twelve to sixteen for a closer peer network. Larger groups can be split into parallel cohorts, and a keynote for a wider women’s network event can be any audience size.

We agree measures with you before the programme starts. Common ones include internal promotions, applications for senior roles, stretch assignments taken on and retention of cohort members. We follow up at 30, 60 and 90 days and give you a short report at 90 days showing what changed.

Yes. We run sessions at your premises or a venue of your choice in any of the seven emirates. Some clients prefer an offsite venue so participants step away from daily demands. Live online delivery works well for cohorts spread across emirates or GCC offices.
