Why us

Why JLT firms pick a practical AI workshop

Less talking, more building

Trainer demos stay under fifteen minutes. The rest of each block is participants drafting, checking and rewriting their own work while someone experienced looks over their shoulder.

Built on trading documents

Labs use anonymised sales contracts, letters of credit wording, inspection reports and counterparty emails, so a commodities desk practises on the paperwork it handles every week.

Pricing stays private

We teach which AI tools your company has approved and what must never be pasted into them, starting with counterparty names, price levels and positions.

Facilitators with commercial scars

The people leading your session have negotiated, managed sales teams and run operations. They can tell a trader why a summary is risky, not just that it is.

Proof of completion

Each person who finishes receives a TrainingInUAE.com certificate of completion that names the programme, ready for HR files and annual reviews.

A number at day ninety

One metric is agreed before we start. We take baseline timings, check in at 30 and 60 days and hand you a short report at 90.

Hands on, not theory

How AI Training in JLT stays hands on

People in a trading office are busy and sceptical. A lecture on what AI might do is forgotten by the next shipment. When someone takes the inspection report on their own desk, gets a clean summary in four minutes and spots the one error, they believe it and they use it again.

01

Choose your own task

A week before the session, each participant names one recurring job, perhaps a counterparty due diligence note, a weekly position update or a client engagement letter.

02

See one technique

The trainer shows a single method on an example close to JLT work, then explains where it tends to fail.

03

Work it through

Each person applies the method to their chosen task in the approved tool, asking for help as they hit problems.

04

Check a colleague's output

Pairs exchange results and hunt for wrong figures, invented clauses and anything that should not have left the building.

05

Save what worked

Successful prompts are stored in a team library sorted by task, so the desk keeps them after the trainer leaves.

06

Compare against baseline

Task times recorded before the workshop are measured again, showing which jobs got faster and which still need people.

80% practice. 20% talk.

Across a full day, roughly five of the six hours go to practice. Every short demonstration is followed straight away by twenty to forty minutes of each participant applying the idea to a task from their own role.

What we cover

What the programme covers for JLT offices

The full syllabus has eight modules. A leadership half day might use three of them, while a desk level workshop goes deeper on the practical ones. Each module closes with a lab producing something the participant takes back to work.

Module 1. How AI models actually behave

Why large language models predict rather than know, how that leads to confident mistakes, and how to judge which office tasks are a good fit. No technical background needed.

🛠 You build: Ask an assistant ten questions about your market and grade the answers

Module 2. Prompts that get usable drafts

Giving the model a role, the background facts, a clear task, the output format and a check step. Participants practise prompt engineering on their own requests, not invented ones.

🛠 You build: Turn your most common request into a reusable prompt template

Module 3. Copilot in Word, Outlook and Teams

Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat for drafting memos, summarising long email threads, preparing PowerPoint decks and catching up on Teams calls with overseas offices.

🛠 You build: Summarise a long counterparty thread and draft the next reply

Module 4. Excel and data with AI

Using Copilot in Excel, ChatGPT and Claude to tidy exports, build formulas, explain movements in a price or volume series and draft commentary that a manager can trust.

🛠 You build: Explain month on month movement in an anonymised trade volume sheet

Module 5. Writing and document workflows

Engagement letters, compliance responses, investor updates and supplier correspondence drafted faster in English or Arabic, with the human deciding what is accurate and what is sent.

🛠 You build: Produce a first draft engagement letter from your own template

Module 6. Agents and light automation

What an AI agent can safely do in a small or mid sized office. Hands on with Copilot Studio or Power Automate to remove repetitive copying between systems.

🛠 You build: Build an agent that answers onboarding questions from one approved handbook

Module 7. Responsible AI, PDPL and DMCC

The UAE PDPL, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, confidentiality duties to counterparties, record keeping expected by your free zone licence, and writing a short company AI usage policy.

🛠 You build: Sort twenty real office scenarios into allowed, careful and banned

Module 8. Rollout and measuring ROI

Turning one good day into lasting practice through champions, a backlog of use cases, baseline timings and a 90 day review that management can read in five minutes.

🛠 You build: Capstone: redesign one real task from your role and time the result

Customised to your needs

Shaped around your JLT company

A gold refiner’s back office, a crypto start up and a corporate service provider can sit two floors apart in the same cluster and need very different sessions. Customisation starts with what your people handle each day.

Diagnose call

Thirty minutes with HR and a team lead to list licensed tools, the slowest recurring tasks and any confidentiality rules set by clients, banks or group head office.

Your documents and tools

We convert anonymised samples of your contracts, reports and templates into lab exercises and configure the day around the AI tools your IT team allows.

Right level, right language

Leaders, managers and staff get separate depth, and delivery can be English, Arabic or bilingual depending on the group.

Trainer and HR manager planning a customised training programme

One programme, four tracks

Leaders

Where AI earns its keep in a trading or advisory business, what to permit, and which adoption signals deserve attention.

Managers

Reworking desk workflows, reviewing AI assisted output fairly and choosing which tasks are worth automating first.

Staff

Daily, careful use of Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini on correspondence, reports and spreadsheets.

Technical and power users

Advanced prompting, Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate flows, so internal champions can support colleagues.

Certification

A certificate for every JLT participant

Everyone who completes the programme receives a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com listing the course and skills practised. It records corporate training for your HR files. It is not a KHDA accredited qualification and not a vendor exam.

Diamonds, gold and precious stones

Dealers and compliance staff handling certificates, provenance records and buyer correspondence, where accuracy and confidentiality matter more than speed.

Crypto and digital asset firms

Fast growing teams that adopt tools early and need shared habits on data, disclosures and checking AI output before it reaches clients.

Shipping and maritime services

Chartering, operations and claims staff summarising fixtures, voyage updates and port correspondence with approved tools and human sign off.

Corporate services and advisory

Accountants, consultants and company formation specialists speeding up research, client letters and routine compliance reporting.

Regional offices and tech start ups

Headquarters rolling out Copilot to several countries, and young companies from the DMCC AI Centre building good habits early.

Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT, DMCC)

AI adoption in the DMCC free zone

Jumeirah Lakes Towers is the home of DMCC, the free zone authority that licenses companies across the district and keeps its headquarters in Almas Tower, alongside the Dubai Diamond Exchange. DMCC has made technology a priority, and its AI Centre and Crypto Centre have drawn many digital first companies into the towers. Much of the district still runs on traditional trading work, though: contracts, shipping documents, compliance checks and supplier emails. That paperwork is exactly where AI saves time.

Trading houses also hold sensitive pricing and counterparty information, so careless use of public tools is a real concern. Our AI Training in JLT covers approved tools and data privacy from the first hour. We can run sessions in a meeting room inside your tower, at a nearby venue, or online for teams spread across JLT, other UAE offices and the wider GCC.

FAQ

AI Training in JLT: FAQs

Yes. Most JLT clients host us in their own meeting room or a shared boardroom in the tower, which saves travel and keeps people close to their desks. We need a screen, reliable Wi-Fi and a laptop per participant with your approved AI tools installed. If space is tight, we can book a venue nearby or run the session online.

It depends on the audience. Leaders usually need a half day masterclass. Staff get the most from a full day hands on workshop. AI champions benefit from a two day bootcamp, and larger firms often prefer a series of weekly sessions so trading desks are never left short handed during busy periods.

We work only with anonymised samples that you approve in advance, and we strip counterparty names, prices and positions before anything enters a lab. Participants learn the UAE PDPL basics, your contractual confidentiality duties and your own policy on which tools are allowed. Nothing sensitive needs to touch a public AI service.

No, and we say that plainly. This is in-house corporate training, so every participant who completes it receives a certificate of completion from TrainingInUAE.com. It is not a KHDA accredited qualification and not a Microsoft or OpenAI exam. Most HR teams file it with appraisals and personal development records.

It helps but it is not essential. If you already license Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Team, Claude or Gemini, we build the labs around that tool. If you are still deciding, we can run the session on free or trial versions and show the differences, so your IT and finance teams choose with real evidence.

We can, though we usually recommend splitting them. Mixed groups work when the labs are task based, because each person sets their own level of challenge. For larger teams we run a staff track and a separate power user track so experienced people are not bored and beginners are not lost.

We start with a short diagnose call, collect anonymised samples of your recurring documents, and build every lab from them. A metals trader gets exercises on contracts and market notes, while an advisory firm works on engagement letters and client research. Delivery language, depth and examples change with each audience.

The main factors are group size, the number of days, whether we deliver on site in JLT or online, and how much customisation your documents need. A short masterclass for leaders needs less preparation than a multi week academy. After the diagnose call you receive a clear proposal within 24 to 48 hours.
